About the Panelists

Virginia Gleason - Criminal Justice Professor, Seattle University

Virginia Gleason applies wide industry experience to helping public safety entities discern and resolve issues. A graduate of University of Oregon Law School, she was in executive leadership at four different law enforcement agencies, focusing on law enforcement systems and accountability. Virginia focuses her expertise on organizational compliance with laws, regulations, professional standards and ethical practices; utilization of data to increase the value and credibility of police services; and risk management. She is currently a Harvard Advanced Leadership Initiative Fellow, an adjunct professor at the Seattle University Department of Criminal Justice and Forensics and an instructor for FBI-LEEDA.

Ron Teachman - Director of Public Safety, ShotSpotter

Ron Teachman spent 38 years in law enforcement before joining ShotSpotter. Prior to ShotSpotter, he served as Chief of Police in South Bend, Indiana and before that in New Bedford, Massachusetts. He also worked for The Emergence Group, a Washington, D.C. based company specializing in criminal justice reform in post-conflict and emerging nations.

Wendy Ethridge - Director of Analytic Solutions, ShotSpotter

Wendy Ethridge is a former law enforcement professional with over 15 years of experience. She served as a Crime and Intelligence Analyst at the Colorado Springs Police Department and oversaw the crime analysis unit and developed and facilitated the CompStat process for the Denver Police Department. Currently, she serves as the Director of Analytic Solutions at ShotSpotter.

Jamie Algatt - Director of Investigative Solutions, ShotSpotter

Jamie has over 20 years in the law enforcement space, specializing in web-based, cloud native solutions for public safety utilizing windows and mobile platforms for delivery. He has helped implement enterprise solutions with some of the largest law agencies in North America. Currently, he serves as the Director of Investigative Solutions at ShotSpotter.
